I’m a 48-year-old woman and I just got my first Botox injections the day before yesterday. I’ve been noticing good results, but not nearly as good as I was expecting. On one side of my face, all the wrinkles are gone. On the other, they are only mostly gone and it looks smaller than the other side. What might have caused the inconsistency of my Botox results in one treatment?
Botox is a wonderful product that delivers sensational results in the majority of patients. If it is your first time receiving Botox, then your injector may have given the same amount of Botox into both sides of your face but, one side of your face seems to have responded better to the Botox than the other side. In the case of Botox, each individual may require varying amounts of Botox to achieve the desired result. Botox works best on dynamic facial lines so if your wrinkles are deep and present without facial expression then it is not likely they will go away entirely no matter how much Botox is placed. Now is a good time to return to your physician and show them how the Botox has worked so the next time you are injected with Botox they will know where you may require more or less Botox.
