I’ve read about both a necklift and neck liposuction and don’t really know the similarities and differences between the two. Could you please explain the two procedures to me?
Neck liposuction is essentially liposuction of the neck and often times the lower portion of the jaw to minimally invasively create an improved neck and jaw line. Neck liposuction works best in cases where excess fat and good skin elasticity and tone are present in the areas underneath the chin and along the jaw line. A necklift procedure is a bit more involved. The necklift requires incisions either underneath the chin, behind the ears, or in many cases, both locations. A necklift procedure is more invasive than neck liposuction and involves the removal of skin. Neck liposuction may tighten the skin of the face and neck, but, no skin is surgically lifted or removed.
