Do any fillers provide permanent results? Which provide the longest lasting results and what can they be used for?
Answer:
Silicone fillers provide permanent results. Having said that, although some of my colleagues have used silicone filler successfully, I feel that the potential complications from the use of liquid silicone filler outweighs any aesthetic improvement that may be gained from the use of the product. Long lasting fillers that I am fond of are fat. I have also used Sculptra and Artefill in the past, but, no longer use these products. Longer lasting injectable fillers should be used in the areas of the face where deeper injections are required such as the cheeks, mid face, nasolabial folds, jowls, and chin.
