I’ve been thinking about getting lip implants

Question:
I’ve been thinking about getting lip implants for a long time. I’m a 36-year-old woman and I have very thin lips on both the top and bottom. I’m interested in getting both lips plumped with an implant, but I’m worried about how it will look. Would an implant on both the top and bottom make my lips look out of proportion?

Answer
Lip augmentation is an individualized procedure. The amount of filler or the size of the implant that looks appropriate on one patient may not be the correct shoice for lip augmentation in another. If both the upper and lower lips are thin then you will likely benefit from having both the upper and lower lips augmented.  The amount of filler or the size of the implant can be altered to give you the best result. The areas of the lips which are augmented are also addressed separately so that your lips will look natural and not simply bigger.
