Question:
About a week ago I had a fat transfer to fill in the area around my nose and cheeks, but I feel like I look completely different and that there is extra fat on my face now. Will some of the fat dissolve? Or is there a reversal procedure I can undergo?
Answer:
One week following fat transfer to the face is a little early to determine what the final result will ultimately look like. I would suggest being patient as there is likely a great deal of facial swelling from the numerous injections which are required to perform successful facial fat augmentation and about 25% of the fat which has been injected will likely dissolve in the first several weeks before your face stabilizes. I would not try reversing the facial fat injections as there are no procedure specifically designed for this purpose.
