After years of tanning, my skin is rough in areas all over my body. I have heard of chemical peels used for uneven texture and tone on the face. Can a chemical peel be applied to other areas such as the back?
Answer:
Many of our clients who come to Renu Med Spa and Plastic Surgery seek not only facial rejuvenation, but, also solutions to aging skin in other areas of the body. The type of rejuvenation you are referring to is the quality of your skin and not necessarily the quantity of your skin. In this case, we use chemical peels and Fraxel laser to refresh the skin. Because of skin safety issues we cannot be as aggressive to areas of skin on the back, neck, and hands as we can be to the face, but, you will definitely see improvement in the tone and texture of your skin with these treatments.
