Are There Things That Can’t Be Fixed With Revision Rhinoplasty?

Question:

Are there ever things that can’t be fixed with revision rhinoplasty? I don’t know what I specifically don’t like about my nose since my nose job, it just looks all around awful.

Answer:

Although most things can be fixed during revision rhinoplasty, the one area that I have had trouble with is significant scarring of the skin primarily around the nostrils. I have performed several hundred revision rhinoplasty surgeries and when I am faced with skin and soft tissue scarring of the tip and nostrils I find that the procedure is more difficult and not always as successful as I would like. I will tell my patients my concerns before the surgery so they understand some of the complexities involved in these cases of revision rhinoplasty.
