My ears are big but it’s only the top portion of my ears. How is this addressed with otoplasty?
People who seek otoplasty do not all have the same issues with their ears. Some people have very prominent ears and some people not only have prominent ears but, also, ears that are poorly formed at the top of the ear. The deformity at the top of the ear is the result of one of the creases which should normally form in the ear not forming. It is referred to as unfurling of the anti helical fold. The manner in which I manage this particular ear deformity is with the use of permanent sutures and cartilage folding and weakening techniques. I can re sculpt the top portion of your ear with otoplasty without changing the look of the remainder of your ear.
