I’m 45, female, and I have developed a sagging double chin. The fat seems to be the biggest problem so I’ve been thinking about getting neck liposuction. Even with my age, will neck lipo be effective in making my chin and jaw attractive again or will my skin be too loose to see good results?
Your question is an excellent one and one that will likely need to be addressed with a formal consult. The degree of skin tightening of your neck and chin will depend upon a few things. If your skin is very flaccid and lax without a lot of elasticity, then removing fat from your neck and jowls with liposuction without addressing the skin will likely lead to more sagging of the skin. If you have good skin tone and excess fat of the neck and jowls, then liposuction, or laser liposuction will remove the fat and the skin of your jowls and neck will conform to the neck and jowls without the fat. I really would have to see you and touch the areas of your concern before I could suggest liposuction of the neck and jowls as a stand alone procedure.
