Question:
I wear a lot of heavy make up for my job. How long after my eyelid surgery will I be able to wear my eyeshadow and eyeliner? Is there a chance that it could give me an infection?
Answer:
I prefer to have my patients not apply makeup to their eyes until about a week following eyelid surgery. After a week the eyelids will have healed well enough that there is no risk of infection if makeup is applied.
