My daughter is a 9 year old model for children’s catalogues. I’ve gotten a few complaints from photographers about how her lips are too thin. I don’t really want to be the kind of mom who promotes child procedures, but I think having plumper lips might help her career and college fund. How young is too young for a lip augmentation with fillers?
Answer
I would strongly suggest not only avoiding dermal fillers for lip augmentation in your nine year old daughter, but, avoiding any cosmetic procedure in children other than those that are specifically designed to address a significant deformity which left untreated would have serious social and emotional implications.
