My eyes are droopy and I hate it

Posted by Dr. Schoenfeld

Question:
My eyes are droopy and I hate it. I dont think it is the eyelid that droops, but actually the skin between the eye and the eye brow. I would like blepharoplasty and possibly a brow lift at the same time. Do you give discounts for multiple procedures?

Answer:
You sound like you have really done your research.  It is very possible that the skin of your upper eyelid is sagging and that your brow has fallen, too.  You can get a better idea of whether you are a candidate for a browplasty by simply elevating your brow in two locations.  The part of your brow closest to your nose should be right at the level of the bony ridge that is above your eye.  The part of your brow that is on the side closest to your temple should peak above that same bony ridge just to the side of your pupil when you are looking straight at yourself in a female and should be at the height of your orbital bony ridge in a male.  If this maneuver opens your eyes and makes you look even more refreshed, then you are likely a browplasty candidate.  I think you will also find that you will need significantly less skin remove from your upper lids during blepharoplasty once the brows have been raised.  I do discount my fees for multiple surgeries especially in the same area.
