What Anesthesia Is Used For A Facelift?

Question:

What anesthesia is used for a facelift? Do I have a choice in what I can use?

Answer:

I prefer to use a general anesthetic for a full facelift. The procedure can take quite a bit of time and can be fairly invasive. For MACS facelifts or mini facelifts, IV sedation is entirely acceptable with the use of local anesthesia.
