How long are the sutures left in for after chin augmentation surgery? Does it hurt to have them removed?
Answer:
I usually leave the sutures in after chin augmentation surgery for about a week. Removal of sutures is entirely pain free. I use two layers of sutures. One layer is dissolvable and is present beneath the surface of the skin and the second layer in the skin will need to be removed.
