I am Asian-American and am seeking a consultation on rhinoplasty. I would like to have the bridge of my nose raised and narrowed and also have the width of my nose at the nostrils narrowed. I believe that this means some type of augmentation. Can this be done without detracting from my Asian features?
I completely understand your concern with retaining some of your ethnicity when consulting with different physicians with regards to your Rhinoplasty. The concerns that you have with the appearance of your nose are typical findings in an Asian nose. Raising the nasal bridge, narrowing the nasal bridge, defining the nasal tip, and narrowing the nostrils are frequent requests when modifying the Asian nose. The degree to which these changes are made can be adjusted so that the changes are not so dramatic and take away from your ethnic appearance.
