I’d like to get laser hair removal on a couple areas of my body. Is there one laser hair removal machine that’s the best?
Answer:
Laser hair removal is still the most popular procedure that we perform. The technology has come a long way since the introduction of laser hair removal lasers. Patients were required to use some form of numbing cream on the areas that they were to be treated, and this cream needed to be applied a couple of hours prior to the laser procedure or the pain was simply too intense to tolerate for long periods of time. Clearly, the best hair removal laser will be that laser which is fast in its treatment time, comfortable when applied during treatments, and effective. We have been using the Soprano XL laser for over two years and our patients could not be happier. The laser uses the most effective laser energy source available for hair removal, a diode laser. The problem with the diode lasers has been that they have been very uncomfortable because of the significant amount of energy the laser generates in order to treat the hair follicles. The Soprano XL laser uses a method of slowly heating up the hair follicles and applying the same amount of energy that traditional diode lasers produce, only it does so gradually which makes the treatments extremely comfortable without the use of numbing agents.
