I’m a 38-year-old man. I’ve recently noticed some wrinkling

Question:
I’m a 38-year-old man. I’ve recently noticed some wrinkling and sagging in my brow area that I’d like to get fixed. I’ve also had a protruding brow bone my whole life. I’m interested in getting that shaved down a little. Can I have my brow bone shaved along with a brow lift?

Answer:
You may have the brow bone shaved down at the same time that you are having a browlift performed. I would likely perform the browlift procedure with an open approach in order to have access to the brow bone, which is really the superior portion of the orbital bone. The endoscopic browlift approach that I prefer, would not give me enough exposure and access to the brow bone if I was going to reduce the prominence of the bone. Although both the open and endoscopic brow lift approaches are great procedures that yield very nice results, the open brow approach can leave you with slightly more scalp numbness than the endoscopic browlift approach.
