Question:
I am male, 29 years old and would like to fix my ears. The outer edge rolls back a little too far and looks very unusual.  Is this outpatient surgery? How long will it take the cartilage in my ear to look better?
Answer:
Cosmetic changes to your ears are immediate following otoplasty surgery.  The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or mild IV sedation in adults and the discomfort folling otoplasty is minimal.  You will be sent home about an hour after your otoplasty and will follow up in my office to inspect your ears.
