Stitches After a Brow lift?

Question:

With the brow lift, are there stitches placed that need to be removed? If so, when are these typically removed?

Answer:

I place stitches or staples in the scalp for all brow lift procedures that I perform. The scalp is usually a bit numb after the brow lift and depending upon whether the brow lift is open or endoscopic the numbness can last for several weeks to months. The good news is that removal of the staples or sutures of the scalp is a relatively pain free procedure that is done around day 6 following your brow lift procedure.
