The bruising to heal and swelling to reduce

Question:
I have a demanding job and can’t be out of work very long… How long does it take the bruising to heal and swelling to reduce after a forehead lift?

Answer:
Forehead lift surgery, or brow lifting, is a procedure that can be performed under IV sedation and the recovery period is relatively quick.  If you are a male, the forehead lift will likely have to be performed through an upper eyelid incision as males run the risk of future baldness and visible hairline scarring.  In a female, the incisions are performed in the hairline.  In either case, the brow lift is completed by elevating the skin, muscle, and fat of the forehead in a deep plane next to the skull.   Bruising and swelling is significantly less noticeable after about a week.  There are a lot of other variables that will determine the length of time your brow lift procedure is visible and I would be happy to discuss these other factors with you in more detail.
