Question:
What type of injectable filler is the longest lasting for filling out the wrinkles in the forehead? What, if any, complications are associated with injections of this particular filler?
Answer:
The longest acting filler that I would use for filling out the wrinkles in the forehead is probably Radiesse. The complications of this filler are basically the same as all other filler for filling out the wrinkles in the forehead. Skin necrosis, vascular injury, and skin irregularities are the biggest potential complications which can occur. I am very conservative with the use of forehead fillers and use Radiesse, Juvederm, and Restylane for this purpose but, with extreme caution. I generally combine the use of the dermal filler in the forehead with Botox injections.
