Where is the fat taken from for a fat transfer to the face? If I am going to have liposuction can I have the fat from my thighs used in a fat transfer to my face?
Answer:
If you are having liposuction to your thighs, then the fat that is removed from your thighs can be transferred to your face. I prefer to harvest fat from the abdomen or hips, but inner and outer thighs are also good sources for fat transfer. Once the fat is harvested, it is prepared and separated from blood, and the fat is then carefully injected into the areas of your face that your surgeon and you will decide upon prior to your procedure.
