Philip S. Schoenfeld, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Schoenfeld is founder and Medical Director of Renu by Dr. Schoenfeld. Double board certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he has been practicing facial plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in Washington DC and Maryland since 1998.
Dr. Schoenfeld received his undergraduate degree from Hobart College where he majored in Chemistry and minored in Religious Studies. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and played lacrosse. He received his Medical degree from New York Medical College and did his residency training at the world renowned Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Schoenfeld served 10 years in the U.S Army, five of which were with the 82nd Airborne Division and as Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Fort Bragg, NC.

Dr. Schoenfeld’s sensitivity to the dramatic consequences arising from facial trauma and cancers as well as those individuals with cosmetic concerns has been the driving force in shaping his career. From his earliest years in medical school and his ongoing philanthropic work he has witnessed countless examples of the importance of looking your personal best and the impact appearance has on self-esteem and personal growth.
Dr. Schoenfeld uses his medical talent and ability to give back wherever he can. He participates in the Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery’s Face to Face program, providing free care for the victims of disfiguring domestic violence. He also works with Project Access, which provides medical care to underserved and indigent patients. He supports Knock Out Abuse and Becky’s Fund, two high profile organizations that work to end domestic abuse and partner violence, as well as Lolly’s Locks, an organization that provides wigs to women who are dealing with hair loss as a side effect of chemotherapy.
