I’m scheduled for chin augmentation surgery in 3 weeks. What do I need to know about caring for my incisions post-op?
Answer:
There is not a great deal of post-operative care that you will need to do to your chin incision following chin augmentation. I tend to place an antibiotic coated dressing on the incision and keep the incision small and relatively hidden beneath your chin, so doing nothing to the incision is entirely appropriate. After the bandages are removed you may elect to place antibiotic on the chin implant incision or special medications to help promote good healing without scar formation
