Between an incisionless ear surgery and an open ear surgery

Question:
Can you explain what the difference is between an incisionless ear surgery and an open ear surgery?

Answer:
Incisionless ear surgery is not the type of otoplasty or cosmetic ear surgery that I perform. Incisionless ear surgery uses sutures and cartilage weakening techniques in order to resculpt the ear in appropriately selected candidates. For my otoplasties I use a small incision placed on the back of the ear and sutures in order to resculpt the ear. I feel very comfortable with the otoplasty approach that I use as I feel that the results are excellent and reproducible, and the discomfort to the patient following otoplasty is minimal.
