Question:
I am having a midface lift to brighten up the area around my eyes and hopefully shave a few years off to boot! My skin tone is also a problem and I have considered a chemical peel to even it out. Should I couple my chemical peel with my facelift or is it better to have time between the procedures?
Answer:
If you are scheduled to undergo a midface lift under anesthesia, I would suggest having either a chemical peel or even laser at the same time in order to freshen your skin tone. The concentration of acid that can be used and the type of peel appliedare significantly more aggressive than the peels that you would receive in our office. Your recovery from your midface lift will not be affected by the addition of a laser procedure or chemical peel to the face.
