Question.
I have vertical lines in my forehead above my nose. I would like to get Botox injections to smooth these out. Are the effects seen right away? Can Botox be used on other parts of the face as well?
Answer
The vertical lines above your eyes are one of the most popular areas for which people elect to have Botox treatments. Botox is used in small amounts to prevent the muscles in your forehead above your nose from contracting and causing the wrinkles that you are so concerned with. Using Botox in this area before the lines have formed will also prevent the lines from forming even as you age. I have previously answered questions with regards to the use of Botox in other areas. Botox is used in numerous areas of the face to prevent facial wrinkling. A good injector will decrease the mobility of the facial muscles just enough to decrease the facial wrinkling, but allow your face to still animate and not give your face a frozen look.
