Question:
Im a 34-year-old man and Im comfortable with my face for the most part. I have a strong nose, larger forehead, and defined cheeks. The only problem is my chin. It doesnt match the rest of my face at all. Ive been considering a chin implant, but I dont know what size would make my chin match. What would be the best size chin implant to balance out my larger nose and forehead?
Answer:
Chin augmentation is a very personalized process. Although I use computer imaging to get a sense of the proper size and shape of chin implant I would like to use for augmentation, I also use sizers intra-operatively to gauge the best size. I have found that one size of chin implant is not right for everyone, and that my patients would rather go a little smaller in terms of chin implant size than have too large an implant placed.
