Question:
I’m in my early 20s but I’ve always had a thin, gaunt face and was wondering if fillers would be a good option for me. I guess the cheek area is my main concern. Am I too young for fillers?
Answer:
I think that in your early 20’s you can try some of the dermal filler products to help alleviate the guant look to your face that you are concerned with. However, at such a young age, I would suggest either an evaluation for permanent cheek or malar implants, or autologous fat injections. Dermal fillers will require several repeat injections over the course of your life. Cheek and malar implants or autologous fat injections will require significantly fewer injections over the next 10-20 years and cost you a great deal less than repeat dermal filler injections.
