Question:
I saw on TV that a 13 year old girl had a nose job and I was completely shocked. I thought that this age was way too young, am I correct?
Answer:
In most circumstances, 13 years of age is too young to have a nose job. In situations where the nose is significantly malformed or has had trauma which has led to nasal deformity and issues with breathing, one could argue that a nose job is entirely acceptable. I feel that at 13 years old, even if the child is physically mature, they are generally not emotionally prepared to have changes made to their nose which can be quite dramatic and even, traumatic to their self image.
