Question:
I’ve heard that non-surgical nasal injections in place of nose surgery can make nasal humps seem smaller. I’ve got a fairly large bump on my nose so this sounds like a great option for me. But why does adding more volume to the nose make it look smaller?
Answer:
Non-surgical rhinoplasty performed with dermal fillers is performed to fill in concavities of the nose or to increase the volume of a particular area of the nose. If you have a large hump to your nasal bridge, non-surgical rhinoplasty with dermal filler injections can be used to fill in the deep concavity above and below the nasal bridge hump, giving the bridge a straighter appearance on profile. The only thing I would caution you about is that you may look better with the hump taken down but, this would require a formal nose job.
