Question:
My doctor for my rhinoplasty surgery was able to put a projected image of my new nose on the computer screen. I’ve moved away, but now I want to get a fat grafting procedure, and I want the same kind of imaging. Do most doctors show the patient an image of what their face will look like post fat graft?
Answer:
Showing the proposed surgical changes using computer imaging for rhinoplasty surgery is an excellent way to help you visualize the proposed surgical outcome. Computer imaging works best for rhinoplasty surgery however, it can also be used effectively for visualization of post procedure changes for fat injection. Fat injections will change your face more subtly than a rhinoplasty surgery will, but, you can get a good idea of what changes to your face your surgeon is trying to accomplish with fat injections with the use of computer imaging.
